Business Systems Requirements Analyst

ACF Solutions is a woman-owned business systems consulting firm focused on helping clients transform their business using information technology.

We are currently searching for full-time employees to join our rapidly growing firm as a:

Requirements Analyst
The Requirements Analyst will work on-site with our client in Vienna, VA performing business requirements analysis and user acceptance testing for a number of projects.

It will be critical for the analyst to come up to speed quickly and to be able to work closely with business users with a wide variety of capabilities as well as developers. The role will require a lot of collaborative analysis – so, spoken and written communication skills are vital.

Key responsibilities include:
Elicit and document business requirements for one or more concurrent application delivery projects using the appropriate method (JAD-like sessions, Use Cases, User Stories, requirements matrix, screen mockups, report mockups, etc.) following an iterative-prototyping methodology
Coordinate with requirements team to identify gaps between existing applications and project business requirements
Coordinate with requirements team to identify impacts on other systems from business requirements
Manage the project websites (using existing Portal tool)
Support business project manager to ensure that issues are tracked; deliverables met; etc.
Work with the appropriate business owners/users to understand and prioritize the client requirements
Provide ongoing interpretation and clarification of requirements to the IT development team. Facilitate discussions between business users and developers to ensure ongoing alignment and issue resolution.
Develop QA/UAT strategy for one or more projects; subsequently develop test conditions with heavy participation of business owner to validate that each application delivers the needed value
Participate in and support QA and UAT activities
Support deployment of minor and major projects by participating in deployment activities as directed


SKILLS REQUIRED

This position requires the following skills:

at least three years of systems analysis experience

experience with gathering and documenting business requirements (including facilitating large user meetings/JADs)

software quality assurance/testing experience including documenting test plans

able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and cope with frequent changes in priority

exposure to web-based extranet or e-commerce systems is an advantage

excellent verbal and written communication skills, initiative, organization and attention to detail
