Lead Data/BI Consultant


Position Summary:
This position is a hands-on technical lead role, delivering business intelligence solutions to Corporate Technologies' clients. This person will function as an analyst, architect, and implementation team lead, working on small to large size projects across a broad range of industries with varying levels of design complexity. This role is ideal for individuals that thrive on developing client relationships while performing hands-on delivery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

? Hands-on design and development of BI solutions
? Lead the requirements definition and technical design process
? Lead small teams with responsibility for task delegation, supervision and status reporting
? Act as the primary technical liaison with the client
? Explore opportunities with prospects and develop proposals


Essential Education, Skills, and Environment:
Qualifications and Experience
? B.S. or M.S. degree in computer science, engineering or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
? 5+ years of "data-analytics" emphasizing dimensional modeling and business intelligence solutions
? 3+ years of working in a consulting capacity
? Thorough understanding of at least one business domain (supply-chain, CRM, etc.)
? Competence with development methodologies, QA fundamentals, and project management
? Excellent communication and client-facing skills
? Experience in formulating customer presentations and proposals
Knowledge and Skills
? Understanding of business intelligence technical and data concepts and vocabulary
? Strong interpersonal skills including influencing, relationship building, and diplomacy in leading project efforts
? Strong analysis, verbal and listening skills and the ability to facilitate and lead meetings
? Strong writing and editing skills needed for white papers, proposals, and transferring information to customers and individuals involved in projects.
? Ability to meet designated deadlines and professional business practices across multiple engagements.
? Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies and approaches
? Flexibility in working hours as required by the client and the project?s circumstances
? Flexibility to travel regionally as business dictates

Business Intelligence Focus
It is essential to have hands-on experience with:
? Architecting and developing data warehouses / data-marts and dimensional data models
? Use of data and process modeling tools
? Use of business intelligence/reporting tools (Business Objects / Crystal preferred)
? Use of data load (ETL) and data quality techniques (any vendor)
And highly desirable to have experience with:
? Use of Portal tools (Microsoft, BEA, Oracle, Sun)
? Use of .NET or Java development environments
