Full Job Title: Business Development Information & Knowledge Manager (Financial Services Office)Job Description:
The Information & Knowledge Manager supports the firm’s Financial Services Office, Business Development Operations team with responsibility for managing the reporting tools, knowledge repositories and research needs of the team. This individual must have a deep understanding of the various reporting tools used by Ernst & Young’s Business Development leadership to help manage the business, as well as the firm’s knowledge tools. He/she must also ensure that best practices (content or databases) are shared across the team and that the integrity of the data is always being measured. Responsibilities Own Business Development databases (e.g., AIMS, STARS and RRS) and perform the following activities: serve as an Area “go to” person for business development reporting tools; act as a liaison to National Business Development databases; work with the Business Development team to ensure accurate, consistent and current data inputs; and develop the Business Development database. Link the account team members to the knowledge they need to support account planning, and information relevant to pursuits (board member names, recent firm mentions in the press, etc.). Act as a liaison with Ernst & Young’s Center for Business Knowledge (CBK) for the deployment of knowledge sharing tools and research for the team. Assess team members’ level of understanding, comfort and use of available knowledge-sharing tools; organize training accordingly. Participate in National Business Development initiatives and in special projects assigned by the team’s leadership. Serve as an advisor and project manager for deploying appropriate knowledge management technology solutions. Receive general supervision and work independently and effectively within an area of Information Management. REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: To qualify, candidates must have: a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 7-10 years of experience; technology background preferred proficiency in major research products and services (e.g., Dow Jones Interactive, Lexis-Nexis, Dialog, SDC) as well as business-oriented CD-ROM and internet products proficiency in MS Office and Lotus Notes strong analytical and organizational skills demonstrated people management skills proven project management experience As the job involves preparing materials for client teams, long hours are occasionally required.
