Business Development Executive - Financial Services - 1031

National qualified intermediary of 1031 forward deferred exchange transactions is searching for Business Development Consultants to increase their market presence throughout Maryland.

Business Development Consultants will be responsible for generating 1031 exchange clients by building relationships with attorneys, real estate brokers, financial professionals, business owners, etc.

Day to day activities consist of soliciting new business by making B2B calls, networking, building relationships, and making presentations to small and large groups and educating them on the benefits of 1031 tax-deferred exchange of investment properties.

You will work with their national marketing team to organize targeted marketing campaigns, attend and participate in trade shows, conferences, and speaking engagements. Processing and other operational duties will be handled by specialists on staff at the main office, so that you can focus on building your client list.

***This is a telecommuting position - you will be working from a home based office and reporting to HQ in Miami, FL.

Total compensation for the first year is in the $125k to $250k range, depending on effort.

REQUIREMENTS
Qualified candidates should have the following skills and attributes:

Prior experience in the Financial Services, Mortgage, Title or Commercial Real Estate field. (Either selling or dealing with sellers or investors).

B2B Consultative sales or business development experience required.

Knowledge of 1031 tax-deferred exchange basics.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. (This is a telecommuting position).

Proficiency in Word, Excel and ACT or other contact management software.

Excellent communication and presentation skills. WE PREFER INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE CONSIDERABLE EXPERIENCE IN PUBLIC SPEAKING. EXPERIENCED IN LARGE SCALE PRESENTATIONS/SEMINARS IS HIGHLY PREFERRED.


Education Requirements/ Certifications: Must possess at least a Bachelor's degree in a related field. MBA highly preferred. Also preferred: JD, CPA, LLM
