Business Data Analyst

I. Summary of Position Researches, analyzes and documents moderate to complex financial analysis projects within assigned department. Prepares and analyzes operating and strategic plans, including quarterly forecasts.
Conduct in depth analysis to support development of predictive models to help understand pricing, product and other initiatives; perform analysis of historical performance data and forecast financials to size prospective opportunities.Perform statistical analysis to identify and quantify impacts of tests and major changes including product, pricing and promotion amongst others; assist in defining measures of success for specific tests. Maintain plan for all ongoing tests to ensure results are not corrupted by overlap in timing and success measures for multiple tests.
Prepare forecasts and analyze Company and/or business unit trends. Conduct and support financial analysis, researching and analyzing financial data; prepare summary analyses as assigned.
Prepare reports, graphs and charts of data developed; prepare written presentations of financial analyses ensuring reasoning for conclusions are clearly illustrated. Recommend actions to be taken, as appropriate. Analyze potential financial consequences of alternative business decisions relating to profit opportunities. Support implementation of product and other change projects working with cross functional departments as required. Assist in special investigations into finance-related issues and/or opportunities. Collect and verify accuracy of information used for financial analyses through internal and external reports, other department personnel and published data. Coordinate with other departments in preparing statistical studies, as appropriate.
Adhere strictly to compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with Company and regulatory standards, policies and practices; report control weaknesses, compliance breaches and operational loss events. Complete other related duties as assigned and support the Company’s Diversity programs.

job Requirements



Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, statistics, mathematics, engineering or other strong quantitative discipline preferred

CPA or MBA preferred

One year proven financial and/or business analysis experience, or equivalent

Proficiency with personal computers and pertinent mainframe systems and software packages

Very strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, presentation and verbal and written communication skills
