Business Analyst - IT / IS

As the fourth largest coatings company in North America and the sixth largest globally, we have a tremendous opportunity for a Commodity Manager at our Minneapolis, MN headquarters.

Key responsibilities include:
-Business Analyst responsible for Oracle application support.
-Works directly with Oracle System users in identifying business requirements and finding solutions within the Oracle application toolset.
-Turns business requirements into functional requirements and, potentially designs solutions for those requirements.
-Works within the oracle application toolset to resolve business gaps or new business requirements.
-Stays abreast of Oracle's technical advances/approaches.
-Works with other technical resources to answer questions during configuration/coding of solutions, performs unit testing and leads end user testing.
-Trains business representatives in the use of Oracle applications. Assists business representatives in training end users on Oracle applications. Maintains training materials.
-Follows Valspar project and development methodologies.
REQUIREMENTS
The qualified candidate will hold a Bachelor degree in either Business, Computer Science or related field and has two to five years experience in Oracle application support. A candidate with OPM - Oracle Process Manufacturing experience is preferred. Proven ability to establish, build, and maintain solid team and customer relationships and work with customers to identify technical solutions to meet needs. Demonstrated experience working with users in defining and documenting requirements. Proven success in problem analysis and problem solving. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interface across organizational lines, including facilitating meetings and making presentations. Technical knowledge of Oracle application infrastructure in addition to functional knowledge on Oracle applications preferred.
