Job Description:
The KWeb is the firm’s intranet and knowledge-sharing environment and provides a single, flexible, and consistent platform for delivering knowledge and communications to Ernst & Young employees globally. The KWeb Application Team is responsible for managing the development of custom and community-specific applications within this environment. The Project Manager/Business Analyst supports the program, product and senior project managers in the successful design, development, deployment and maintenance of KWeb Applications and is responsible for many day-to-day project activities, but receives guidance and direction from the program, product and senior project managers concerning the more strategic aspects of the Application Project Life cycle. The primary role of the Project Manager/Business Analyst is to support the project team by participating in activities including, but not limited to, participating in scope definition, gathering requirements and formulating business solutions during the analysis phase, validating business requirements in the testing phase, and coordinating the successful application implementation during the delivery phase. Under limited supervision, manage and coordinate activities for 1-5 system development projects simultaneously (e.g., requirements documents, business model documents, test scripts, work plans, project team databases, meeting minutes, issues logs, etc.). Assist in the planning, development and management of the project scope and schedule. Define, elicit, structure, validate and document business requirements. Facilitate business requirement review with the sponsors and the project team. Test applications through all testing cycles and thoroughly documenting testing results (e.g., system, integration, pilot testing). Coordinate user acceptance testing and the implementation process (e.g., online help, implementation checklist, application documentation, process and technical manuals). Provide tactical support to clients (e.g., training in the use of the database). Develop expertise in all aspects of the application development and project management life cycle, and all KWeb products, processes, and services so that you may increasingly gain autonomous responsibilities. Under supervision develops relationships with project stakeholders through the application life cycle.
