Business Accounting Liaison

Serve as primary contact to the respective Business Unit (BU).

Participate in BU initiatives.

Serve as primary trainer for the Accounting Operations (AO) staff/teammates.

Process positive pay exceptions, excluding Healthcare.

When needed, serve as point person for Cananwill and agents.

Prepare monthly account current statements.

Set-up new TA’s and change TA addresses.

Review accounts receivable analysis.

Manage and report out on Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Aging. Discuss significant changes/issues with the BU’s and AO Management.

Manage BU issues, including lockbox/restrictive endorsement projects, tracking of logged checks received with underwritten policy applications, and complex operational accounting transactions.

Work with the Balancing and Reconciliation Team, Supervisor and Corporate Accounting to reconcile and clear outstanding bank reconciliation issues.SPECIAL SKILLS: Good organization, and effective time management skills are key requirements. The candidate must also have the ability to be responsive and timely with communication to business units and Corporate Accounting.MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience preferredMINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

5 years work experience in accounting.

Experience in researching and resolving accounting business problems.

Excellent interpersonal skills

Excel skills, including creating spreadsheets, using simple formulas, formatting reports.

Detail orientation and time management skills.

Works independently with minimal supervision
