Budget & Planning Manager

BUDGET AND PLANNING MANAGER, OPERATIONS

The St. Petersburg Times, Florida’s best newspaper, is seeking an experienced, strategic, financial professional for its Budget and Planning Manager for Operations.

The position is responsible for overseeing Operations’ budget development, implementation and reporting, conducting financial analysis to identify and evaluate revenue opportunities and expense controls, and preparing financial and operating information to assist in Operations’ decision making and expense/program planning.

Qualified candidates will have demonstrated experience and success in manufacturing and/or financial planning/analysis and problem solving. Newspaper and/or engineering background strongly preferred. Must have excellent technical and analytical skills; project-management and organizational skills, including the ability to understand broad-based departmental operating and expense/revenue issues and procedures; excellent communications and interpersonal skills; and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, changing environment while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
