Budget Analyst, Senior

Key Role: Provide analytical support for the execution of and in controlling against an approved budget. Provide analysis to inform the development of new policies and procedures in the budget area and analyze and track funds execution issues related to obligations and expenditures and funding and procurement document status. Manage and provide execution production support and manage a team of budget analysts. Liaise between the finance and accounting office and program managers and work to assure continuing compliance with government contracting, interagency agreements rules, and accounting and budget execution procedures. Prepare monthly financial briefs and ad hoc reports for senior management. Comply with budget execution processes and procedures in accordance with federally mandated financial regulations. Collaborate with contractors, management, and affected personnel to standardize processes and work with all stakeholders to coordinate business process improvement and Business Process Reengineering. Interface with senior management regarding financial status issues, manage resources to ensure the most efficient use of all available assets, and support the development of department, OMB, and Congressional budget justifications.



Job Requirements













Basic Qualifications:


-7+ years of experience with budget analysis and formulation


-Knowledge of Microsoft Excel


-Knowledge of financial reconciliation


-Secret clearance





Additional Qualifications:


-Experience with federal budget analysis preferred
-BA or BS degree in Finance or a related field
