Role Description:
The primary role of the internal wholesaling team is to prospect, close business, and promote JP Morgan mutual funds to financial advisors and the brokerage community. You will be a member of the internal sales team, working to achieve the goal of the internal sales team. The position requires accountability to an external salesperson covering the corresponding region from the road. You will also be responsible for sales by prospecting via conference attendance, cold calling, direct mail campaigns, etc. As an internal wholesaler you will cultivate and manage client relationship, by responding to client inquiries, providing ongoing communication with clients/prospects, and managing the client/prospects throughout the sales cycle, resulting in closed business. In addition, you will provide sales support to the external wholesaler in the region through client call backs, written follow up and lead generation. REQUIREMENTS
2-4 years experience in the financial services industry; wholesaling experience is preferred. Experience on the client side of the mutual fund industry (i.e., marketing, client service, etc.) preferred Possess an understanding of the industry; possess fundamental understanding of JPM Mutual Funds Strong Communication skills required Adaptability and flexibility required Ability to discuss the various products in a manner understood by clients Problem Solve - Ability to serve as a consultant to external clients through assessment of client needs and recommendation of viable solutions - JPM Mutual Funds Initiative - Desire to interface with external clients on a daily basis, exhibit initiative to proactively call on prospects to engage in conversation about JPMorgan in an effort to develop an ongoing list of 'quality' leads Project Management - Ability to work independently and as part of a team on various projects such as direct mail campaigns, marketing books, and client events, etc. Presentation Skills - Ability to effectively deliver presentations face-to-face and via the telephone to clients Possess intermediate proficiency levels in consulting and advising clients, managing relationships, obtaining and processing information required to provide services, and providing sales support required Bachelor's Degree required Must have Series 7 and 63, or 66 licenses
