What You Need to Know about the Job
Hands-on management position with major national distributor of exterior building products wholesaling to professional contractors and licensed remodelers
Working under the supervision of branch manager, responsible for all day-to-day management, sales and customer service functions within branch
Oversees inside sales, warehouse (warehouse manager reports to you) and customer service; directly supervises inside sales staff and warehouse manager
Generally no weekend work . . . approximately 7 a.m. - 4/4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday

Your Typical Day
Critical player in the profitability of the branch
Reports directly to branch manager, who maintains his/her own sales territory
Responsible for all branch programs and activities in branch manager's absence
Directly supervise inside sales staff and warehouse manager
Go-to leader for customer service issues and complaints
Searches for ways to improve branch operations or sales
Monitors all branch operations, including warehouse processes and inventory, using Lansing's "day's work in a day's time" philosophy
Primary management tool is company's sophisticated database network, which ties all of our units together
In most cases, responsible for hiring branch staff and maintaining manning
Compensation
Average initial salary between $30,000-$40,000
Can earn bonuses of $5,000 or more, based on special incentive programs and the profitability of the branch
