Billing Representative

Locate documents for primary and/or secondary insurance carriers via multiple on-line systems and/or update new insurance information and activate billing through in-house system.

Specific Responsibilities: Route replacement bills to different destinations in a timely manner; Work on an on-line system to print Insurance Explanation of Benefits and/or Itemized Bills; Process Explanation of Benefits for secondary billing; Route Explanation of Benefits to representatives; May have to recalculate/adjust patient responsibility; Decipher/understand requested information and distribute accordingly; Must maintain designated amount for daily production; updating insurance information through Collections system; Maintain passwords/security access for various systems; and need to understand process flows for nine different PAS’s and communicate internally and
externally via in-house system.
REQUIREMENTS
Billing and/or insurance experience required.
Familiarity with Insurance terminology required.
