Billing Analyst

This position is with the COMPUTER SYSTEMS SEGMENT of Volt Information Sciences, Inc. This particular division of Computer Systems, Volt Delta Resources, LLC, provides directory assistance services, and designs, develops, sells, leases and maintains computer-based directory assistance services along with other database management and related services, primarily to the telecommunications industry. VoltDelta is a subsidiary of a multi-billion dollar public company. We have a direct, internal need for a Billing Analyst in our Accounting Department in New York City, NY.
Reporting to the Billing Manager, the Billing Analyst's main objective is to compile invoices and prepare bills. You will be reconciling month to month ongoing invoices, preparing invoices, maintain the billing records and complex month, quarterly and yearly billing schedule. Working together with Credit & Collection dept. you will be accountable to resolve billing and/or credit issues and posting transactions to billing system.


Requirements:

Ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree (A.A.) in Accounting or related field in addition to one to two years billing or accounting experience. You must have a basic level of understanding of standard accounting principles and standard accounting software with a working and technical knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, especially Excel. Required is the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. You must have and work with a strong attention to detail, possess the ability to take direction and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment. Any combination of PeopleSoft and Great Plains experience a plus.
