General Summary:
Reporting directly to the Supervisor of the Receipts unit within BWPO Medicine Department. Responsibilities include Payment/denial posting and reconciliation on timely and accurate basis.Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Post and reconcile payments received for all groups in a timely and accurate manner.2.Daily logging of completed batches in the tracking books for reconciling purposes.3.Ability to research credit balances. Understand the refund process in its entirety.4.Manual Bank deposits5.Completing any work-related projects assigned by the supervisor/manager.6.Ability to prioritize their work efficiently and independently.7.Must demonstrate initiative and be willing to learn new tasks8.Provide support and back-up for the daily courier.9.Training new staff/fielding questions from any staff members.
REQUIREMENTS
QualificationsPrevious experience in a health care environment preferred.
Thorough knowledge of Physician third party billing/collections and payment posting
IDX and PCS experience preferred
Thorough knowledge of third party reimbursements required.Skills/Abilities RequiredExcellent organizational skills
Ability to communicate at all levels
Strong PC skills
Excellent analytical skills required
