GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Financial Analyst ll will report to the BWPO Budget Manager and will work closely with BWPO Central Staff, BWPO Department Finance Managers, PHS Corporate Accounting and Budget Office, as well as BWH Budget Office personnel to help to provide, understand and evaluate financial analysis for BWPO organization.SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBIITIES:
The job's primary responsibilities, but not limited to, include the following:1.Assist in the coordination and consolidation of a $370M operating budget, including participation in analysis and reporting of BWPO Central and department budget.
2.Assist in the production and distribution of the BWPO Budget Package, including Analysis, Reporting, Forecast, Planning and Consolidation.
3.Reconcile and analyze the output from the BWPO Budget system to operational reports (i.e. PSoft G/L reports, Document Direct Reports, POLR reports and IDX Reports.)
4.Participate in monthly actual to budget variance analysis related to Profit and Loss, and FTE Reporting.
5.Assist with gathering of business requirements related to BWPO Budget Package, including Analysis, Reporting, Forecast and Consolidation.
6.Responsible for preparation and analysis reporting of BWPO monthly FTE reporting package.
7.Responsible for the administration of the BWPO Budgeting System (SRC). Responsibilities include system documentation, system maintenance, information update; report creation, data validation, reconciliation and any other needed adhoc analysis within the system.
8.Participate in quarterly post close meetings for assigned operating entities.
9.Work with senior management in preparing actual to budget variance reporting on Trammel Crow related expenses. Provide adhoc analysis needed for quarterly meeting and annual budget preparation.
10.Assist Sr. Financial Analyst to reconcile BWPO Capital budget using PHS Capital Management System.
11.Assist with IDX reconciliation, queries and reports generation.
12.Assists with other budget and analytical assignments; ad hoc reporting as required.
13.Effectively communicates and presents issues to appropriate level of Finance, management and external customers.
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS:1.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
2.1-3 years relevant experience in healthcare or business environment with progressive financial analysis responsibilities
3.Strong computer skills especially in General Ledger System, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Access, and relational databases a plus
4.Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong customer service orientation
5.Knowledge of PeopleSoft General Ledger , SRC Budget System, and Capital System a plusREQUIRED SKILLS:
1.Must be able to adapt to a fast paced environment and adhere to established deadlines
2.Excellent communication (both oral and written) and collaboration skills
3.Proficient in financial and accounting principles and practices as applicable to experience/education required, including the ability to analyze financial statements
4.Ability to work independently and in a teamwork environment, as well as have the ability to prioritize workload and handle multiple tasks.
5.Excellent interpersonal skills, strong customer service orientation, and be able to productively work with other team members as well as developing relationships with staff in other areas of the organization.
6.Strong computer skills especially in General Ledger System, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. SRC Budget System is a plus. Proficient with spreadsheets.WORKING CONDITIONS:
Due to the size, complexity and multi-institutional nature of this position, the pace of the work is hectic and challenging. The workload could necessitate working evenings and portion of weekends.
