Budget Coordinator

The UMBC Office Student Affairs seeks a Budget Coordinator to oversee the budget management process for the Office of the Vice President of Student Affairs (VPSA) and Transportation Services. Specific duties include: providing support for the day-to-day management of the Division's finance and budget operations with particular focus on the VPSA office and Transportation Services; preparing budgets; examining a variety of budgets and financial statements for completeness, accuracy, and conformity with applicable policies and procedures; and performing other duties as assigned. Requires: a Bachelor's degree in Business or related field with a minimum of six credits in Accounting. Must have at least two years (four years preferred) of progressively responsible experience in managing budgets, preferably in a public institution. Experience with People Soft is strongly preferred. Salary range is 38,000 - 45,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Position is full-time and includes university benefits package.
