Controller opportunity at a fast paced, well-established subsidiary of FreshPoint, the country's leading distributor of fresh produce. We are looking for a local candidate to manage and oversee all accounting functions at this multi-site company. This high profile position will interact with the corporate CFO as well as the local management team. Financial management reporting, summarizing and forecasting business activity and financial positions in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations and preparing the annual operating company budget are some of the additional responsibilities of this exciting opportunity. The successful candidate will possess a strong knowledge of accounting and finance, strong leadership and communication skills and strong software and spreadsheet knowledge. Previous experience with a parent/subsidiary organization is a plus as is AS 400 and Sarbanes-Oxley knowledge. Contractual negotiation experience is also considered a plus.
REQUIREMENTS
To be eligible for consideration you must have a 4 year degree in Accounting or Finance and a minimum of 5 years experience of progressively more responsibility in accounting/finance roles. A CPA or equivalent experience is also required as well as strong knowledge of GAAP. Must have strong analytical skills, the ability to multi-task and be able to work with all levels of an organization. Strong communication skills and supervisory skills are a must. Computer skills include Microsoft Office products knowledge, with strong Excel experience. Please include recent salary history when submitting your resume.
