As part of the audit team, you will be responsible for:
Preparing all necessary financial statement and related disclosures and reportable conditions letters, with an eyeon quality, thoroughness and accuracy.
Developing an understanding of client’s business, and becoming a “functional expert” in the area.
Monitoring and reporting regarding the productivity of staff, and adherence to work plan schedules on each assignment.
Keeping abreast of latest developments as they affect GAAP and firms standards and policies.
Keeping abreast of industry developments and their effects on client competitive position and distribution channels.
Anticipating and addressing client concerns, and escalating problems as they arise.
Recognizing and informing senior management of opportunities to increase level and types of services to clients.
Ensuring professional development through ongoing education and obtaining additional certifications as appropriate.
REQUIREMENTS
Background/Work Experience Required:
The ideal candidate will have experience within a Public Accounting firm, and have expertise in all aspects of external audit.
Minimum of 3 years experience in Public Accounting. Will consider 2 years experience if from a national firm.
Solid understanding of audit and attest services in any of the following areas: financial statement audit, regulatorycompliance, due diligence and structuring, process and controls, or assertions and agreements.
General knowledge of FASB regulations and GAAP.
Ability to train and develop staff.
Demonstrated progress toward obtaining CPA certification.
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or closely related field.
