Audit Supervisor

Mikunda, Cottrell & Co. shareholders, as well as many of our professional staff are members of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In addition, several of our shareholders have significant prior experience with national accounting firms.
Audit Supervisors are responsible for driving audit business process improvement through scheduling of personnel. This position reports directly to the Managing Partner.
Essential Position Responsibilities
•Manage staffing of personnel with Functional leaders and/or engagement teams
•Monitor productivity of personnel
•Resolve scheduling conflicts
•Enforce weekly work load updates from management/staff
•Generate reports to project utilization, availability, non-charge hours, etc.
•Analyze headcount, work with Managing Partner, HRD & Functional leads to determine proper staffing levels
•Analyze staffing mix by engagement (level and talent)
•Assess staff skills & interests and integrate into scheduling process
•Coordinate resource sharing, between offices, functions and other Economic Units
•Ensure accurate and timely Resource Management input-output
•Communicate all scheduling matters/procedures/etc.
•Monitor utilization of staff and work with engagement teams to increase utilization
Education and Work Experience
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business
•Demonstrated competencies in an audit role as a Manager (Consulting Services acceptable)

REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge and Skills
•Must possess well-rounded knowledge of auditing standards and accounting principles.
•Demonstrates the ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
•Demonstrates the ability to be organized and work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities with work projects.

Physical Requirement/Working Conditions
•Able to work over 40 hours per week throughout the year as required.
Education and Work Experience
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business
