Associate Project Lead

May work in conjunction with more senior Project Leaders on complex projects. Responsible for assembling project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedule to ensure timely completion of project and meeting deadlines of project. Must be familiar with the systems scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member in order to effectively coordinate the activities of the team. Communicates with Management and other necessary parties as to the status of specific projects.

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
* Excellent organization, communication and project management skills.
* Typically 2 - 3 years project management experience.

The Telecom Project Management Team is searching for an energetic Associate Project Lead (APL) to lead technology projects of a minimal to moderately complex nature. Associate Project Leaders will work in conjunction with senior project leaders on complex projects. Candidates must be able to work in a fast paced environment utilizing multitasking, coordination, negotiation and communications skills.

Additional Requirements:
1. Proven ability to understand the project scope and objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, in order to effectively coordinate the activities of the team.
2. Proven ability to work with resources and resource managers to identify roadblocks, and facilitate solutions.
3. Proven ability to communicate status to management and other necessary parties, displaying excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4. Typically 2-3 years of project management/systems experience.
5. Knowledge and application of Project Lifecycle Methodologies.
6. Experience creating, maintaining and managing against project plans using tools such as Primavera TeamPlay or MS Project.
