Associate, Internal Audit

We are currently seeking an Internal Audit Associate to join us in our Kansas City office.Internal Audit and Regulatory Compliance (IARC) Services professionals help organizations enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of critical in-house governance, internal audit and compliance functions. IARC professionals, focused on internal audit, help strengthen/supplement client internal audit functions across all industries primarily through strategic sourcing. They also perform, risk assessments and risk-based operational, financial and compliance audits of key business processes.Responsibilities:

Project a professional image of KPMG

Provide high quality professional day-to-day execution of internal audit engagements and special projects

Assist in preparing risk assessment, audit plan programs and internal audit reports

Work on project teams focused on compliance or advisory projects

Typically required to be on-site at the client premises approximately 80-90 percent of the time

Serve a variety of clients within the Consumer and Industrial markets
Job Requirements
Qualifications:

One year of current and/or recent audit experience at the advisory level, with a focus on the Consumer and Industrial Market organizations

BS degree from an accredited college/university in Accounting, Business or a related major

Willing and able to travel, at times with relatively short notice

Willing to work the hours necessary to meet client deadlines

Strong analytical and writing skills

Strong proficiency in basic PC applications (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with a general understanding of data analysis techniques
