Associate, Expatriate Tax

We are currently seeking a Tax Associate to join us in our Denver office.KPMG's International Executive Services (IES) practice strives to help companies as they work to manage their international assignment programs. When our clients send their employees on international assignment, KPMG professionals provide proactive planning ideas and advise clients on international human resources and tax best practices. IES provides compliance, advisory, and administration services to help support our clients' businesses and assignees.Responsibilities:
Prepare written correspondence for companies with expatriate employees, as well as, their expatriate employees

Assist in conducting tax research relating to expatriate employees

Prepare miscellaneous tax, payroll and international assignment cost projection calculations, as required

Prepare tax returns, equalization calculations and other miscellaneous tax forms for expatriate employees, as required

Prepare draft correspondence with IRS or state taxing authorities in relation to tax notices and/or audits for expatriates

Review U.S. payroll reporting, withholding for wages paid to expatriate employees for accuracy including annual compensation statements
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university

One year of experience in expatriate or individual tax

Prior experience at an accounting firm

Working towards a CPA or Enrolled Agent designation
