Associate, CFO Advisory Services

We are currently seeking an Associate to join us in our Washington, D.C. officeCFO Advisory (CFOA) Services professionals are “trusted advisers” for the CFO and other financial executives. With a focus on financial analysis, operations, controls and performance, our professionals bring leading practices and recommendations to clients to help streamline and create more efficient processes with the finance function.
Responsibilities:

Review and evaluate financial risk, financial reporting and accounting transactions processes including controls

Review and evaluate complex federal financial statements and transaction flow

Advise on implementing Treasury and OMB accounting classification codes and United States Standard General Ledger (USSGL) account transactions in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
Job Requirements
Qualifications:

BA or BS degree (from an accredited institution) in Accounting or a related discipline

One year of experience in providing accounting/financial advisory services to federal entities and the Department of Defense (DoD)

At least one of the following:
oOne year of experience with USSGL
oOne year of experience with Treasury Federal Agencies Centralized Trial-Balance System (FACTS) reporting
oOne year of experience with Federal Departmental Reporting (e.g., SF133, 1002, 725, 2108)
oOne year of experience with Federal cash accountability or Treasury reporting (e.g., 1218, 1219, 1220, 1221)

Strong working knowledge of accounting theory and U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Experience in budget preparation, including annual budget reviews and knowledge of various Federal Budget Guidelines

Experience with key Federal systems and processes (USSGL, Fund Balance with Treasury, property accountability, accounts receivables and/or payables, unliquidated obligations)

A currently active Secret Level clearance or the ability to obtain a clearance and pass a background check
