Assistant Controller - Real Estate - Growth Opp!

Classification: Full Time Compensation: $65000 to $75000 per year Robert Half Finance and Accounting has partnered with a very successful Real Estate Management firm near Uptown to recruit for an Assistant Controller. THERE IS AN EXCLUSIVE OPPORTUNITY TO MEET WITH THIS CLIENT IN OUR OFFICES EARLY THE WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 18TH.Responsibilities will include the following:
Preparing and consolidating financial statements per legal entity document definitions & regulatory requirements for internal & external use;Enforcing internal controls related to assigned property accounting per Company defined guidelines;Managing all aspects of the general ledger;
Providing monthly, quarterly and year-end client reporting & analyses per Client Investment Management Agreements;
Coordinating, assisting with and ensuring accuracy of the property budget process;
Analyzing financial statements and ensuring appropriate, related variable explanations in Client Reporting;
Serving as a liaison to external auditors;
Supervising accounts receivable, accounts payable and general project accounting;
Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes;
Managing Staff of up to 5 employees;
Serve as a lisison to external auditors;Providing direction & guidance to Assoc.
