The responsibilities of the Assistant Controller include but are not limited to:
•Implementing, coordinating, and monitoring tasks that relate to Finance
•Enhancing our systems for business analysis
•Reviewing our efficiency
•Training staff on how to effectively use the company’s systems
•Analyzing cost and profit and reporting on actual results versus the budget
•Calculating production overhead rates
•Performing monthly cost/profit reviews and monthly reports
•Reviewing financial statements and documents for correctness
•Maintaining cost elements, balance sheets, and income statements
•Creating inventory reports
•Assisting and advising in budget preparation
•Developing reports of the company’s assets
•Reporting finances to all levels of the company
•Assembling data into readable statements
•Uploading data to the computer system (SAP)
•Offering general support to the Accounting Department

REQUIREMENTS
The requirements for the Assistant Controller include:
•BA in Accounting or a similar discipline; an MBA or CPA is preferred
•3 years, preferably more, experience with a Big 5 company or experience in manufacturing
•PC proficiency, particularly with Excel and Access
•Experience with SAP desired
•Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
•Great analytical abilities
•The ability to lift up to 10 pounds of weight
•The ability to comfortably use close vision (for example, reading and studying pages of small-type numbers)
•Also, while performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally needs to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, sit, use hands to handle and feel, talk, and hear.
•Tolerance for moderate noise levels
•A willingness to travel up to 5%, both domestically and internationally
