Art Quality Auditor

MeadWestvaco Consumer & Office Products Office Products Group is seeking an Art Quality Auditor for the Electronic Prepress Department.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Checks the laser proofs, bluelines, etc. after the proofreaders to provide for the highest output accuracy and minimize grammatical, spelling, numeric and information errors.



Serves as focal person when Multi Department has questions on plates or has remakes. Responsible for research and problem-solving with other departments when accuracy questions arise.

Functions as a backup to the Supervisor for all proofreading-related issues.

Audit procedure and process controls in prepress to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.

As needed, performs product and process quality audits in response to customer feedback and non-conformances. Documents and reports results.

Performs other related duties as required for the efficient operation of the department, or as directed by supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS


REQUIREMENTS:


2 years of proofreading or equivalent experience.



Exceptional proofreading skills required including grammar and spelling. A general knowledge of calendars and their production strongly desired.

Ability to perform work within tight timeframes.

A strong attention to detail and the ability to retain information and relate it to the job at hand.

Excellent communication skills.

Experience with Mac or Windows platforms.

Understanding and use of problem-solving skills.

High School diploma.
