Analytics Products Manager

McGraw-Hill Construction's Research & Analytics group currently has a position available for an Analytics Products Manager who will utilize a detailed, proprietary database of construction starts to provide comprehensive forecasts and analyses of trends for clients across the construction industry. This person will be responsible for helping to maintain our historical databases, using econometric models to forecast economic and construction activity, and providing clear and precise written analysis of construction market trends. This candidate will also serve an important role in model development, market analysis, product development, and client support. This position will work closely with the McGraw-Hill Construction sales force and will serve as the direct contact point for the Analytics group customers in the support and use of their products.

Job Requirements
Undergraduate degree in economics or related field with three to five years of relevant experience; or a graduate degree in economics or related field with one to three years of experience.
Strong quantitative, modeling, and programming skills.
Extensive knowledge of research methodologies, database manipulation, and programming.
Solid analytical skills to identify and explain underlying trends in construction markets.
Well-honed writing ability to translate complex economic relationships into readable prose.
Good interpersonal skills for working with clients and colleagues.


Software Utilized:
Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Explorer, and PowerPoint, E-Views (econometric forecasting software), Adobe Acrobat, and proprietary database manipulation programs.
