Analyst - BU

The Business Unit Financial Planning Analyst contributes to The Pepsi Bottling Group's success by participating in the development of the Business Unit financial plan and in conducting detailed analysis for the Business Unit. This person supports the Retail Sales and Food Service Vice Presidents along with Key Account Managers by providing value-added reporting and developing ad-hoc analysis to aid in smart business decisions. This position is responsible for proactively monitoring trends and identifying business risks and opportunities.



Major Tasks, Key Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

Provide analytical support for Market Unit Annual Operating Plan development, including development of key account templates and models

Provide accurate forecasting for Topline items including: volume, net revenue, and cost of goods

Identify and communicate the key "causes of change" versus the forecast

Scorecard Topline performance by key account, by key package and by region

Analyze key performance drivers and make recommendations

Educate Key Account Managers on financial metrics

Maintain (complex) Excel models and Plan/Forecast databases, as needed

Maintain Business Acquisition Model (semi annual update)

Support sales and multifunctional teams on ad-hoc projects

Visit store locations to understand current challenges and improve business results

Work independently with minimal supervision
REQUIREMENTS


Basic Job Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business

Three plus years of work experience in financial planning as an analyst

Preferred Job Qualifications

Experience in analyzing and forecasting P&L results
