Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to; close cooperation and coordination work with Engineering on current capital projects and their closing in a timely and steady fashion.All asset accounting entries and related decision preparation work; data compilation and analysis in respect to historical, budget and other projection data; maintenance and improvement of the asset accounting systems/tools (software).Work with SAP Systems li>All aspects of capital reporting to the corporation and internal management. Maintain Excel worksheets in current format to provide detailed purchasing, general ledger and asset activity for projects. Record newly acquired assets in current fixed assets software (FAS). Work with internal and external auditors as required. Provide back-up for others within the Finance Team. REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:The Accounting Analyst, Finance is responsible for performing key activities necessary to support the accounts payable function and related activities of the accounting coordinators, and fixed assets. The successful candidate must have a Bachelors Degree in Accounting or a related field. A minimum of two years experience in accounting, finance and/or business operations is required. Must have experience in working on capital projects, asset accounting, data compilation and analysis with budget and projection data. In addition, must also have experience with vendors, third party and inter-company miscellaneous invoices and credit memos. Proficiency in Word, Power Point, Excel and MS Project. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills are required.
