Actuary, Life Actuarial Financial Reporting

The primary function of the Actuary, Life Actuarial Financial Reporting, is to perform the Fixed Life valuation and analysis, business modeling and reporting processes, including support of overall liability and asset management. Current responsibilities include quarterly and annual Statutory, GAAP and Tax financial reporting including recoverability analyses, unlocking and GAAP projections, as well as regular projection cycles including option based valuations, economic value analyses, short- and long-term business planning.Basic Candidate Qualifications:
B.S. Degree in Mathematics, Statistics and/or related major - Mathematical knowledge, skills and abilities
Member - American Academy of Actuaries
Actuarial Fellowship designation (FSA)
Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and Statutory reporting, especially XXX and AXXX
Experience with reinsurance financial reporting and business planning processes
Ability to interact professionally and effectively in a team environment
Communication skills, both oral and written, including appropriate evidence of work process documentation, technical writing and senior manager presentation skills
Computer skills, including knowledge of spreadsheets, MS Office Software and Programming
Good interpersonal skills
Ability and willingness to perform at a high level
Commitment to improve work processes
Driven to grow your own skills and abilitiesPreferred Candidate Qualifications:
Polysystems experience (ULMASTER and/or LIFEMASTER)
MG-ALFA software experience
Desire to ADVANCE to a higher level
