PricewaterhouseCoopers is actively looking for a property/casualty actuarial Senior Associate in the Actuarial & Insurance Management Solutions (AIMS) practice. We currently have opportunities in the New York City office and the Florham Park, NJ location.Responsibilities include assisting in property/casualty actuarial consulting projects for primary insurance companies, reinsurance companies, large self-insured organizations and governmental entities. Projects include reserve analysis, ratemaking, due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, and financial analysis. Analyses will be performed for a variety of lines of business, including personal and commercial lines such as automobile liability, general liability, workers' compensation, medical malpractice, and environmental and asbestos. Candidates will have the opportunity to interact with clients and internal PwC staff in other lines of service.Completion of projects will generally require the use of a variety of actuarial methodologies utilizing Excel spreadsheets, ReservePro and other computer applications.
REQUIREMENTS
Education Requirement:
Bachelor's degree or Master's degree with a strong academic background in actuarial science, applied statistics, financial analysis, insurance, economics, mathematics or related quantitative disciplines. 3+ years of experience as a property/casualty insurance actuary; consulting experience preferred but not required Strong academic background in actuarial science, applied statistics, financial analysis, insurance and/or mathematics Strong verbal and written communication skills Commitment to client service and business ethics. Proficiency in computer applications, such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. 3+ exams with a commitment to achieving Fellowship in the Casualty Actuarial Society.
