Accounts Receivable RepresentativeJob Duties:

Responsible for analyzing and acting from pre-bill worksheets for respective plans, reviewing and correcting errors before daily submission.

Reviews billing reports, confirmations, and tracks daily claims activity.

Analyzes, works, and appeals denials from EOB’s and correspondence daily. Flags accounts appropriately.

Initiates and works up refund requests for overpayments.

Responsible for knowing and following assigned plans’ guidelines, pre-certification requirements and procedures for filing and appealing claims.

Responsible for the generation and distribution of pre-bills of assigned plan(s), electronic filing, paper filing, and confirmations on a “as needed” basis.Job Requirements

Minimum two years experience in a medical/billing office setting with a strong knowledge of insurance, managed care, Medicare, and Medicaid.

Excellent organizational skills and ability to do detailed multi-tasks.

Related computer experience, working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, NextGen experience preferred.

Ability to deal effectively and professionally with outside vendors and insurance representatives.

Working knowledge of office equipment.
