Responsibilities:
Serves as a primary management resource performing problem solving duties in support of management of accounts receivable.
Analyzes and reports collection activity to management.Reviews accounts receivable balances by company to ensure customer balances are accurate and payments are timely.Generates monthly statements to donors.Contacts companies/donors regarding payment terms and collectibles.Manages all relationships with third-party processors including other United Ways.Interfaces with various departments to ensure donor information related to third-party processors is accurately reflected in donor and financial systems.Supervises accounting assistant responsible for bank deposits and accounts receivable postings
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements
Highly detailed and organized with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Outstanding desktop computer skills.
Understanding of informational databases and the interface between ledger and sub-ledger.Ability to identify and deploy process improvements in a fast-paced operating environment.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent with major concentration in finance or accounting required.One to three years of related experience required; nonprofit experience preferred.
