Accounts Payable Supervisor
Growing professional service firm located in the Loop seeks Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our finance team. In this critical and extremely visible position, you will be accountable to the Director of Finance for the payment of all outstanding company invoices. The responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Supervisor will include, however will not be limited to:
•Accurate and timely processing of all vouchers•Verifies that the authorization of all invoices processed are within company guidelines•Performs weekly check runs•Research, reconcile, and resolves any vendor issues•Ensure monthly payment of all employee time and expense reports•Generates accounts payable activity reports•Reviews all entries made to the general ledger for accounts payable activities•Ensure complete W9's on file for all vendors, process annual 1099's•Supports system and process enhancements related to accounts payable•Responsible for maintaining internal control procedures•Establish efficient and effective accounts payable processes to ensure timely and accurate completion of the payables function•Special projects as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
•Minimum of an Associates Degree in Accounting•Five years of hands-on, corporate accounts payable experience•An analytical thinker with strong business writing skills and excellent verbal communication skills•Professional services industry experience is preferred•Experience with Microsoft Excel, Access and Word accounting clerk, accounts payable, payroll clerk, bookkeeper, bookkeeping, AP, A/P
