Accounts Payable Supervisor -- LEGAL Int'l Law Firm

Our client, a major International, multi-site law firm, is seeking a strong Accounts Payable Supervisor.

The Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for all areas relating to accounts payable.

The Accounts Payable Supervisor supervises seven Senior Accounts Payable Clerks and eight Accounts Payable Clerks and is responsible for seeing that work is properly allocated and completed in an accurate and timely fashion.

Tight deadlines and a large and uneven work flow require careful management of staff time including the monitoring of overtime.

The position also entails substantial telephone and email contact with outside vendors and internal staff to resolve accounts payable problems and respond to their requests.

The Accounts Payable Supervisor is required to use the personal computer to access vendor information and to prepare analyses.
REQUIREMENTS
Educational Level: Four year college degree preferred; college accounting coursework required.

Requirements:

Two to three years prior supervisory experience in a high-volume, fast-paced accounts payable or related department required.

Experience working in a law firm or professional services firm is preferred.

Experience with Elite Enterprise, J.D. Edwards or other large automated accounting systems are a plus; experience with Microsoft Excel and Word is required.

Excellent oral and written communication and customer service are required, as are strong interpersonal and supervisory skills.

Must be able to multi-task, work under pressure and meet frequent deadlines.
