Accounts Payable Specialist

Bernard/Allison has been in business since 1984, and currently manages over 20,000 apartment units in Arizona, New Mexico, Tennessee, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas.Bernard/Allison is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our corporate home office team.The A/P Specialist is responsible for all data entry of vendor invoices for several properties.Duties Include:
· Ensuring all invoices are properly paid and checks are mailed on a weekly basis according to deadlines
· Matching of checks to vendor invoices weekly
· Researching vendor past due amounts· Obtaining proper back up to attach to all code slips and invoices for payment
· Answering questions from vendors and the properties
· Filing of chronological check folders and paid invoice files
· Frequent contact with site managers, accounting staff, and district managers
REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESREQUIRED:
1. Quick and accurate completion of data entry information for A/P
2. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational and follow-up skills
3. Proficiency using MS Word and MS Excel
4. Ability to communicate with staff and site employees in a concise manner
5. Ability to meet deadlines
6. Must be team player and have a positive attitudeEDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
1. Previous high volume data entry experience an advantage
2. Knowledge of use of office equipment
3. Requires strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word and basic spreadsheet and letter training **NO AGENCIES**
