Accounts Payable Manager

This position is responsible for managing the Accounts Payable function, supervising the accounts payable staff, managing the accounting for fixed asset and assisting in the month end financial reporting process.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Managing the Accounts Payable function and supervising the AP staff member.
2.Reviewing payments for opportunities for cost savings.
3.Ensuring proper controls over the disbursements function.
4.Assisting with monthly financial reporting process.
5.Preparing detailed account reconciliations, and cost analyses.
6.Accounting for asset acquisition and disposal in the fixed asset system.
7.Maintaining the accounting for leases and manage rent expense accounts.
8.Providing historical information to be used in developing the annual budget.
9.Preparing cost models, and sensitivity analyses.
10.Providing data related to vendor payments managers throughout the company.
11.Analyzing monthly direct costs to ensure they are accurate.
12.Other projects as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
SKILLS, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
A degree (B.A./B.S.) in Accounting or Finance is required and at least 5 years of public or private accounting experience. Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience. Good spreadsheet experience is strong in MS Word. Must be detailed orientated, be able to work independently while still being an effective contributing team member.
Preferred:
Experience working with Peoplesoft, particularly the Accounts Payable module.
CPA or CMA certification
