Accounts Payable

Purpose:
Aerotek is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our client's busy Accounting Department. This position will process vendor invoices for payment by researching and matching invoice/receipt categories. Maintain review of aged invoices & receipts for accuracy and to ensure that all are processed in accordance with accounting procedures.

- Match merchandise invoices and receipts timely by category type using system generated reports and approving the dollar amount to be paid.

- Research out of balance conditions in accordance with Stein Mart policy and create charge-backs and/or overrides to resolve.

- Research and resolve open merchandise invoices/receipts as directed by the Accounts Payable Senior Clerk or Lead.

- Research and document Invoice & Aging Reports monthly in accordance with department procedures.

- Retrieve and file both paper and electronic invoices in open AP files according to procedures.

- Perform special projects as assigned.

- Maintain production standards and levels.



Background Requirements:

- High School diploma or equivalent required.

- Background in Accounting/Bookkeeping with 0-3 years Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable experience.Classification:Full-TimeCompensation:
