We are working with a progressive National Public Accounting firm to identify dynamic and talented professionals to join an expanding team. There are several senior and manager (Tax and Audit) roles within this organization avaiable in Richmond, VA. (There are also opportunities in North Carolina and Maryland)

If you are an accountant with public accounting, audit experience (internal or external audit), CPA (certified public accountant) and looking for a challenge in a flexible, fun, innovative and energetic public accounting environment, we would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you.

Audit Manager / Audit Senior
Manager - Lead a team through the entire audit process
Preparing all necessary financial statements and related disclosures and reportable conditions letters, with an eye on quality, thoroughness and accuracy
Developing an understanding of client’s business, and becoming a functional expert in the area
Monitoring and reporting regarding the productivity of staff, and adherence to work plan schedules on each assignment
Keeping abreast of latest developments as they affect GAAP and firms standards and policies
Keeping abreast of industry developments and their effects on client competitive position
Recognizing and informing senior management of opportunities to increase level types of services to clients
Ensuring professional development through ongoing education and obtaining additional certifications as appropriate
Developing business and having an interest in selling extended services

Tax Supervisor
Supervise teams on tax engagements
Tax preparation, compliance and review
Strong understanding technical tax issues
Manage multipe tax projects, clients and engagements
Strong Partnership experience with a focus on hedge funds is a plus.
Experience with consolidated federal returns with exposure to financial institutions a plus.

REQUIREMENTS
Experienced accounting professionals (special consideration given to candidates with public accounting experience)
CPA - Certified Public Accountants or candidates pursuing the CPA designation preferred
Exposure to various industries with specific interest in Financial Institutions, Banks, Broker Dealers, Hedge Funds etc
Limited travel (regional)
Solid communication skills
Solid Technical background
