Accounting Supervisor II

The accounting supervisor II position is located in our Memphis corn mill location. This mill is a large, diverse facility that grinds over 70 million bushels of corn annually to produce corn sweeteners, starch, germ, oil and feed. The Memphis Corn Milling Accounting Supervisor is a key member of the facility accounting team responsible for managing accounting functions including financial reporting, internal controls and staff development. This position is designed to be a developmental opportunity for any candidate wishing to grow his or her career.







Principle Accountabilities: 40% Assist in the management of the Memphis Accounting Team through timely and accurate budgeting, financial analysis, analysis of energy usage, product yields and manufacturing and administrative cost controls. 30% Ensure controls are in place to manage annual corn purchases of $170MM and manufacturing costs of $120MM. 20% Assist with facility efforts to maintain a control environment adequate to safeguard assets, ensure internal control, integrity of financial statements and compliance with government requirements and a commitment to Cargill's Guiding Principals. 10% Participate in Corn Milling BU Finance improvement initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS


Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance

Minimum 3 years accounting experience

Demonstrated commitment to internal controls

Demonstrated Team building skills

Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills

Proactive in anticipating and resolving problems

Strong computer skills

Demonstrated process analysis and improvement skills

Effective communicator across all levels of the organization
