Accounting Project Manager

The purpose of the department is responsible for the preparation of The Allstate Corporation and its subsidiaries' audited financial statements, notes and schedules, and the MD&A included in annual and quarterly SEC and other filings. The scope of this job is working in Shareholder Reporting Team preparing quarterly financial information for the Company's Board of Directors and an Investor Supplement. Additional responsibilities of the team include debt compliance reporting, preparation or review of subsidiary external GAAP reporting and special projects. Manages complex Accounting/Financial/technical projects. Have the ability to manage the activities of a unit/team or project. The position is located in Northbrook, Illinois.

1. Advanced - Hands on report writing experience and skills
2. Advanced - Knowledge of SEC standards
3. Advanced - Excellent technical accounting skills
4. Advanced - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
5. Advanced - Bachelors degree in accounting required
REQUIREMENTS
Experience Required:
-5-7 years of auditing experience in a Big 4/Public accounting firm, report writing experience, insurance and/or financial services experience, SEC reporting experience, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K and S-3.
-CPA a plus.

Computer Proficiency:
-Microsoft Office Suite

Education:
College Degree - Preferred, Major preference: Accounting
