Accounting Operations Analyst

Large North County public company is looking for accounting and financial consulting resources.Position Description:The successful candidate will be highly motivated, a detail oriented individual who is a quick worker with excellent communication, computer and organizational skills. The candidate must be high-potential and have the ability to prioritize and follow through in a fast-paced, multitask environment. This position reports to both the Manager of Accounts Receivable and Manager of Disbursements.Responsibilities:"Lead various projects designed to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Accounting Operations Team such as
"Developing and reporting standard metrics
"Assisting with T&E process improvements
"DSO and DPO reporting and forecasting
"Optimizing use of JD Edwards system
"Intercompany processes
"Assist A/P and A/R staff with complex issues or workload managements
"Responsible for monthly close activities including closing accounts receivable sub ledger, journal entries, account reconciliations, and calculation of bad debt reserve
"Work closely with Accounting, Customer Service and Purchasing to resolve issues and improve processes
"Assist with, document and re-engineer AP tasks including check runs, month end close and GRNI clean-up
"Development and implementation of financial control procedures (SOX 404), corporate goals, policies and procedures relating to accounting and financial management
"Identify and drive other process improvement initiatives
Requirements:"Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related discipline required
"4-7 years corporate accounting, FP&A or related process improvement experience
"Experience with small-medium scale system implementation
"Extremely proficient in MS Excel
"Knowledge of MS Access
