Accounting Manager (Temporary)

The Accounting Manager is responsible for maintaining the general ledger and supporting accounting records. This position has responsibility to ensure all accounts payable, cash and other general journal transactions are properly recorded. In addition the position is responsible for maintaining narratives and other documentation to support Sarbanes Oxley.Note: This is a temporary position with an expected duration of approximately six months. It does include benefits such as medical, dental, 401(k), paid vacation and holidays.RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist in month end close including account analysis and reconciliations
Other financial statement analysis as required
Support annual budget process and interim forecasts
Review detail posting to department expense accounts compared to budget
Apply appropriate accounting principles and practices
Project cash flow
Support required Sarbanes Oxley compliance
Other finance department tasks as required
REQUIREMENTS
B.S. Degree in Accounting or Finance
4-5 years experience, including supervisory responsibilities
Strong analytical, communication (written and oral) and organizational skills.
Excellent PC skills (especially Excel), strong knowledge of other Office 2000 applications. Strong knowledge and experience with integrated accounting software. Experience with Great Plains Dynamics desirable.
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities
