Accounting Manager - LI-based Publicly-listed Company

Mid-sized, growing, publicly-traded consumer products company seeks an Accounting Manager to fill a critical role in its LI, NY HQ.

DESCRIPTION:
Manage substantially all the day-to-day accounting, internal reporting to executive management, and finance work related to two smaller divisions of the Company (all under same roof as Corporate Accounting/Finance Group).

Regular interaction with executives in Corporate Accounting/Finance Group as well as the CEO's that head each of the two smaller divisions you'd be working in.

This is a hands-on position in an environment that's fast paced, busy, fluid, team-oriented and entrepreneurial.

This position has one person reporting to it.

Limited travel. 50 hour work weeks on average.
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIREMENTS:
- BS in Accounting
- 5-7 years relevant and recent experience
- Relevant experience in private industry
- Strong GAAP knowledge and application
- Business savvy
- Able to work / communicate well with executive mgmt
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Supervisory experience

A PLUS BUT NOT REQUIRED:
- Mix of private industry experience with a small to mid-sized publicly-listed co and public accounting (audit) experience with a top 10 national/international CPA firm
- CPA
- Oracle Financials user experience
- Experience performing financial consolidations and closings to allow the Accounting Manager to progress easier within the Company. Consolidations and financial close experience is NOT REQUIRED to perform the duties of this Accounting Manager position
