This position reports directly to the Investment Management Business Line Controller (BLC). The individual will assist the BLC with financial analysis on financial performance, budget preparation, business plans, peer benchmarking and other initiatives for the Investment Management business lines. This person will deliver insightful, accurate and timely information to the business heads as directed by the BLC.Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain a broad range of standard financial, operational and statistical reports and presentations. Some reports are cyclical while others are ad-hoc.
Conduct revenue and expense analysis and make recommendations to management concerning financial/operational problems, issues, and trends.
Participate in the month-end close process ensuring applicable accounting entries are processed in an accurate and timely fashion.
Assist in managing the annual budget process.
Assist in developing and enhancing cost allocation methodologies.
Coordinate account reconciliation for Investment Management.
Interact with senior levels of management.Qualifications
7-10 years experience in accounting or financial analysis, preferably with a financial services organization. Investment Management experience preferred, but not required
Knowledge of general management accounting principles and allocations between business areas.
Working knowledge of financial processes (i.e. general accounting, financial reporting, etc.).
