Accounting & Finance Director

REQUIREMENTS
Expected Job Responsibilities:
• General Ledger--maintain and manage the G/L, including preparation of journal entries
• Cash Management--prepare monthly bank reconciliations
• Analysis--prepare and review monthly account reconciliations
• Financial Reporting--review, analyze, and document overall balance sheet and income statement account activities and variances. Maintain monthly financial statement and G/L account documentation
• Budgeting/Forecasting--assist in preparation of Quarterly and annual Business Plans
• Taxes--assist the accounting firm with preparation and reporting of all state and federal tax reporting requirements and the annual income tax provision
• Sarbanes Oxley--assist with SOX compliance
• External Audit--Assist with external audit requirements
• External Reporting--assist with government statistical reporting and other external reporting requirements
• Accounting Research--assist in the research and implementation of new accounting issues and disclosures
• Presentations--assist with the preparation and review of presentations to management
• Other--assist with special projects

Specific Qualifications:
• B.S. or higher in Accounting
• CPA a plus
• 7+ years of General Ledger experience
• E&P experience required
• JV Accounting required
• Strong computer & modeling skills required, including Microsoft Excel
• Public accounting experience a plus
• OGIS experience a plus
