Position Overview:
Lead departmental compliance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes Oxley Act for the US Controllers group
Develop and maintain a scorecard for the close-to-report process
Lead process improvements and play an integral role in department initiatives and company-wide projects
Prepare or review cash flow reporting and balance sheet reviews / analysis
Provide financial governance leadership for subsidiary companies
Assist with technical accounting research

Specific Job Duties:
Conduct and/or review internal assessments of internal controls and business risks, in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, specifically Section 404, for the US Segment Accounting department.
Streamline documented internal controls for the US Segment Accounting department, especially within the Demand Creation accounting area.
Liaise with CBC subsidiary companies to ensure accounting policy compliance throughout the US Segment:
Communicate policy and procedure changes to CBC subsidiary companies.
Prepare and deliver training sessions on internal controls.
Travel to Field Business Areas to conduct SOX control testing and provide training to field personnel.
Coordinate field T&E audits to ensure compliance with company policy and trade practices.
Manage the balance sheet account reconciliation process.
Develop PCA reporting for Segment balance sheet reporting and direct the “clean up” of historic data for such internal reporting purposes.
Prepare balance sheet analysis, coordinating with account owners throughout various departments within the US Segment and the Corporate Center.
Prepare CBC cash flow templates and review subsidiary company cash flow reports.
Provide guidance on best practices related to processes and internal controls.
Lead department initiatives.
Develop tracking and reporting system for process improvements (eg. Scorecard)
Coordinate cross-training efforts within department and cross functionally.
Provide accounting & control leadership through involvement in company-wide initiatives and projects.
Assist with technical accounting research and drafting of Accounting Research Memos (ARMs).
Develop and maintain a scorecard for the close-to-report process
Lead process improvements and play an integral role in department initiatives and company-wide projects.
Prepare or review cash flow reporting and balance sheet reviews/analysis.
Provide financial governance leadership for subsidiary companies.
Assist with technical accounting research.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Requirements:
B.S. or M.B.A. degree in Accounting
Active CPA license, preferred
7+ years total professional work experience (ideal candidate will have 2+ years in public accounting and 3+ years with a mid-to-large publicly traded company)
Experience with enterprise reporting systems, preferably with SAP
Proficiency in use of Excel
Project management skills
Six Sigma training a plus
