Our A&A and Tax Departments are currently seeking qualified, self-motivated public accountants to join our team as:

Most work is conducted in the Tucson, AZ office with some work requiring travel to clients’ greater Tucson and Southern Arizona locations. Over 40 hours required during busy season, including weekends. Qualifications vary dependent upon position. (See below.)

Senior Manager, Manager, Supervisor, Senior
Responsibilities: (depending upon position)
•Plan and manage all aspects of client engagements including assigning work based on level of difficulty, knowledge of client or industry, and employees’ skills.
•Provide leadership within the firm in technical knowledge, developing employees and staff direction.
•Using technical knowledge of applicable regulations as well as AICPA rules, requirements, and code of conduct, prepare moderate to complex tax returns and projections, using various research tools to determine and clearly document conclusions.
•Consistently demonstrate a commitment to providing excellent client service, leading by example and holding others accountable to maintaining the company culture of placing our client’s needs and goals at the center of each project.
•Advocate for clients and consistently recognize additional service opportunities for existing clients.
•Discuss client and documentation needs as well as project issues, conclusions, and billing terms with colleagues and clients both in person and by phone.
•Review others’ simple to complex work products and evaluate overall performance, providing instructive, constructive written and verbal feedback.
•Identify and present, in collaboration with colleagues as needed, additional service opportunities for existing clients. Develop new business that serves the overall objectives of the firm (Senior Manager / Manager).
•Assist with firm recruiting and retention activities, such as college recruiting, mentoring, coaching, CPE instruction, candidate identification and interviewing.
•Represent the firm within community.
•Contribute to the firm’s success through various other activities as initiated, requested or required (e.g. membership on the technology committee).
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
•Undergraduate degree in Accounting. Masters in Tax or Accountancy preferred.
•Current CPA license. (Seniors must be working toward.) CVA, CFP or related licenses a plus.
•Current employment in public accounting highly preferred. No more than two years since last public accounting position required. Two to twelve years of experience in public accounting, dependent upon position. Experience must include controlling multiple engagements, working with long-term clients, and successfully demonstrating technical knowledge of applicable regulations.
•Advanced knowledge and practical experience in at least one selected industry preferred.
•For management positions, experience managing professionals performing tax or A&A functions is required.
•Excellent verbal/written communication, including ability to translate complex tax and audit issues into simple terms.
•Demonstrated ability to manage project timelines, coordinate others’ work and complete own work within tight deadlines.
•Proficient in using technology to accomplish tasks and manage engagements – e.g. Microsoft Office products, ProSystems, Caseware, on-line tax research tools or related software.
