DuPont Finance, Business Accounting, has a need for an experienced Accountant at the Barley Mill facility in Wilmington, Delaware.

The successful candidate will be responsible for finished product inventory accounting, cost of goods sold, intercompany payables, barters, exchanges, and tolls and unrealized transfer profit for various SBUs.

The position is responsible for:All aspects of finished product accounting, including system general ledger processing, reconciliation to consolidation systems, and ensuring cost of sales accuracy by product.Inbound and outbound UTP reconciliations for transfers to/from foreign subsidiaries via global system database.Analysis and follow-up to global database users on intercompany invoices.Maintaining validity of invoices flowing through global database.Working with plant contacts, business analysts, and others on accounting issues related to finished product accounting.Providing cost analysis and information on system links to resolve issues.Assisting users of finished product data in understanding how to utilize the accounting systems as tool to analyze product costsResource for inventory reconcilersDriving continuous improvement and data quality initiatives

REQUIREMENTS


Minimum Skills Required:
BS or MS degree in AccountingDemonstrated knowledge and ability to apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Desktop software skills particularly knowledge and use of Excel and WordGood analytical and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated ability to prioritize work and effectively manage multiple competing prioritiesDemonstrated strong oral and written communication skillsCPA or CPA candidate is a plus
